The First Independent Study on Wims Is In—and the Results Are Glowing

We know why we love Wims. You know why you love Wims. And recently, an independent research report gave us a little insight into all the reasons its 112 participants love Wims, too.

The third-party study, run by MoreBetter, set out to understand how Wims (specifically the Ginger Lime Pocket-Tonic) affects people’s quality of life, health-related choices, and overall wellbeing. For 22 days, participants kept careful track of what they consumed, how they felt, and what kinds of choices they made day-to-day. Following these factors continuously, and noting how they changed with and without Wims, helped us get a little bit of a clearer view into why Wims wins so many hearts.

Thanks to this study, a lot of the reasons we already loved Wims are now officially confirmed by research. But it also revealed a few benefits we hadn’t thought of, inspiring new ways to use Wims to feel good, live well, and indulge on your own terms.

1. Sipping Soothes the Stress

Surprise, surprise: the good mood Wims unlocks is backed by data. Over the course of the study, participants showed a consistent and significant decline in feeling depressed, anxious, and stressed. It’s important to note that Wims is not a clinical treatment for chronic mental illnesses—but it’s certainly a useful sidekick to tune into a little more ease, and a little more enjoyment in your day-to-day.

2. You Can Unwind With Peace of Mind

Wims was made to be the antidote to all our alcohol-centered social norms—a different kind of beverage option that comes with reduced health risks, clearer judgement, and no headache the next day. Participants in this study tended to agree that Wims is a wonderful alcohol alternative, with 89% saying it felt like a safer option than alcohol.

3. Focus and Clarity Flow

Whoever said weed makes you lazy was not using Wims. Participants in the study reported 30 more productive minutes per day when they used Wims, compared to when they didn’t. Of course, it’s up to each person to define for themselves what productivity looks like—we think of it as intentional time spent on activities you consider meaningful and worthwhile. And over a week, a month, or a year, finding an extra 30 minutes of that each day certainly adds up.

4. Toasting More Means Smoking Less

We’ve considered Wims an alcohol alternative since its conception—but turns out, it’s also a great alternative to less health-friendly forms of cannabis use. On days participants used Wims, they were 48% less likely to consume cannabis via smoking. Meaning, they still got to enjoy that floaty, flowy state of mind, while saving their lungs the extra trouble.

5. Sweet Dreams Come Easier

Those calm, grounded, present feelings whirling around in a glass of Wims are the perfect precursor to a good night’s rest. While Wims doesn’t make you tired, it does put you in a healthy headspace to seamlessly slip into sleep when bedtime rolls around. In the study, participants using Wims enjoyed both an easier time falling asleep, and higher quality sleep once they did.

6. Well-Being’s on the Up and Up

The World Health Organization (WHO) developed an index specifically to measure wellbeing, and this study used it to put Wims effects to the test. The WHO’s tool defines wellbeing as feeling cheerful and in good spirits, calm and relaxed, active and vigorous, rested and fresh, and like life is filled with interesting things. Surprising no one, participants using Wims showed an 18% average improvement in overall wellbeing.

7. It’s Delectable, Plain and Simple

Wims can help you better manage your moods, your responsibilities, your stress, your sleep, your health—but at the end of the day, it’s perfectly acceptable to drink Wims simply because it’s delicious. We didn’t need a survey to tell us that it tastes good, but it’s nice to know that 91% of participants agreed the Ginger Lime Pocket-Tonic met or exceeded their expectations. For those other 9%... might we suggest the Lemon Basil?
