Drinkables vs. Edibles

Ever found yourself wondering about the difference between an edible and a drinkable?

Well, wonder no more. While both drinkables and edibles can deliver delightful, elevated highs, they’re different in a few important ways. Read on to discover which best suits your fancy.

Timing Is Everything

Although edibles and drinkables star the same active ingredient (cannabinoids), your body absorbs each in a slightly different way.

Edibles need to be digested, and take their sweet time kicking in: on average, you’ll wait anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes to feel the effects. They last longer too, typically lingering between 4 and 6 hours.

Drinkables, on the other hand, come in liquid form, which makes them much easier to absorb and process. They tend to deliver that dazzling, elevated feeling in just 15-20 minutes, and wear off around the 2 or 3 hour mark.

Intensity Varies

It’s not just timing that sets edibles and drinkables apart.

Most people will tell you they also differ in intensity. While there are several factors that influence the quality of that je ne sais quoi cannabis feeling (including dose and strain), in general edibles tend to be more intense and immersive, while drinkables deliver a crisp and mild high.

Consider The Format

Edibles are usually a one-time treat, consumed in just a couple bites.

Fan favorite formats include gummies, brownies, and chocolates. Drinkables are great for sipping and savoring over a longer period. Most come in cans, available in all kinds of creative flavors. Wims is an extra special kind of drinkable designed to fit in your pocket, mix with anything, and enjoy discreetly (or not!).

Which one is right for me?

At the end of the day, the decision is personal! Wims is a drinkable designed for the new social drinking, but people love it for everything from house parties to cooking dinner at home to nights out dancing to.
